Black Net Saree: Zarine Khan Ethnic Collection

Black Net Saree: Zarine Khan Ethnic Collection Hello friends, Wedding season and monsoons just don't go too well together. While I can't help but feel amazingly excited for all the weddings and functions I'd be attending (have already been to a couple of them!), the constant downpour does dampen up the spirits to some extent. I need to be extra special in taking care of my high heels and gorgeous ethnic dresses to keep them away from the rain and accompanied problems. Anyhoo, on brighter note, I am sharing another ethnic outfit with you guys today. I got this black net saree from Zarine Khan's collection , a while back. It is one of my absolute favourites. I love the simplicity and royal look of this saree , and the fact it is extremely light weight and easy to carry; making it perfect wear for monsoons. The whole black and red combination works wonderfully in making it an apt party wear for weddings as well as evening parties. The net fabric makes this ne...

Green Net and Velvet Saree: Indian Ethnic Outfit

Green Net Saree: Ethnic outfit Hi friends, Its been a long time since I posted anything on my blog. I wasn't keeping well earlier, and then my son got viral fever. Its been really crazy for a while and today, finally I got some rest and peace of mind to write on my blog. It feels liberating, spending sometime here, expressing my thoughts and let a bit of my creativity do its work. And I can't thank you guys enough for being a part of this blog. Its always wonderful to see your amazing comments and feedback.Today, I thought of posting an ethnic outifit of the day. Its wedding season full on, and I will be going to attend one of my cousins' wedding next week. So, the timing is apt to do an ethnic outfit post of the day. It is just a regular saree, but I wore it in lehenga saree style. There is an excellent video by Utsavsarees on youtube, that showcases a Do-it-yourself way of wearing saree lehenga style.

September Month Haul – Sarees, Accessories, Bag, Household stuffs, Painting

I hope you are enjoying the end of rains and onset of our Indian festivals with gusto. I always love this time in India, when we have a grand start with Ganesh Charuthi , followed by a small pause of 15 days and then full throttle start of our very popular festivals - Navratri, Dussehra and then Diwali followed by Bhai Dooj . It is fun to see and feel all the positive energy around, even if you are not that religious or actively participating in any of these celebrations. Since I'd be staying a lot busy next month because of some other grand reasons (will disclose at the right time!) apart from these festivals, I decided to indulge in some shopping this month. Most of my shopping has been done online, for which I'd provide the info next to each pic below. Check them out.. :) Sarees bought from Fashionandyou.com Jewelry from Romwe.com Jewelry and bag from OASAP.com Pearl necklace from Jabong.com. Check out my experience with ...

Outfit of the Day - Pink Net Saree (Desi Avatar)

Hello friends, I had to go for a party yesterday and for the second time in my life I chose to wear a saree. It was quite a work for me to get it done right. And after 3 attempts, I finally managed to drape it well. It was my first time in net saree, and now I can understand the whole craze over it. It feels so utterly light and easy to carry, especially in hot and humid climate like this. I took these photographs after coming back from the party, without doing any touch ups and I still feel I look quite fresh! :P I hope you like the pics, even though they were taken at night time under normal tubelight and camera's flash, so request you to ignore the poor quality:) What I wore: Pink net saree bought from fashionandyou.com Brown Flat Jootis (not in the pic) Earrings, bangles and bracelet Makeup: Face : Manhattan foundation, P2 compact powder, MAC blush - Vintage grape Eyes : Essence eyeshadow primer, Illamasqua cream pigment - Depravity, deep brown eyeshadow fro...

Some Online/Offline Haul - Saree, Earrings, Bags, Shoes

Some Online/Offline Haul - Saree, Earrings, Bags, Shoes I went out to visit the nearest mall here after ages just because I was feeling much better after months of sickness. The mall is called Ozone plaza, which is around 45 minutes drive away.. This was my first visit there, and honestly I didn't miss Bangalore at all. I fell into the same shopping pattern the way I used to do there, once I was inside the mall.. :D. It was really nice and fun to step outside after such a long time, even though it was sweltering hot outside while going from here to the mall. All thanks to my sunglasses and sunscreen, I saved my eyes and face from a great deal of torture. I have been planning to go for a family function in coming few days, so my main focus was to get a couple of ethnics. Bought two cotton Kurta sets for hubby, and then went and bought a pair of jootis to go with them from Khadim's. For me, I'd already ordered 2 sarees from 99labels last week, and absolutely ...
