Online Shopping from Wellnessocean.com – Areev, Rustic Art, Just Herbs, Vendatika and Puro

It has been a while since I’ve extended the usage of organic and herbal products more in my daily routine. Even if the products aren’t herbal or organic, I do ensure to see the ingredients and get the stuffs that don’t contain nasty preservatives, parabens or “cones” in them. Since India is the birthplace of Ayurveda, organic and naturally made products, I knew I’d definitely find loads of brands here to check out. However, little did I know that in my search, I’d not only find the Indian herbal and organic brands but also some of the international (German) brands too like Sante  Naturkosmetik, Logona etc. that too on a website operating in India. Since, I’ve already used lots of German brands in skincare and makeup, which I’ve frequently reviewed here and I am a great fan of the quality they offer, I was quite thrilled to find these brands and products in our very own homeland – India. And now coming to the treasure trove where I found these, I am really glad to introduce...

Review: Soulflower Wake up and Smell the Coffee Chocolate soap

If you are a sucker for chocolate and coffee fragrances then this is definitely going to be your favorite. The moment I opened the soap's wrapper all I could get was mouth watering chocolate fragrance that just felt heavenly to the senses. Let us check more about this product below. Price for quantity: INR 250/- for 150 grams My experience with this soap The yummy chocolate fragrance was more than enough to fall in love with this soap, but apart from that what I liked the most about this soap was that the fragrance lingered too for sometime after taking the shower. The soap lathers well and is quite easy to rinse off too. The good thing I felt about this soap was that it didn't cause much dryness to my already dry skin, and all I could get was super cleansed feeling without any stretchiness. Like all soulflower soaps, this one also comes in a huge bar and you might have to take some time getting used to it. However, for me since this is my fourth soulflower s...

Defense Soap - The Best Antimicrobial Body Soap

(Guest Post by Micheal John) An individual is born with a healthy and supple skin which protects the person from pathogenic attack or any damage to the inner organs. As we grow our skin comes in contact with the environment, faces the rough and tough weather changes, occasional wounds, and bruises and so on. This calls for infectious microbial action. Are we capable of keeping the skin as healthy and as supple as it was when we were just infants? Microbes are organisms that thrive under suitable conditions to produce toxins resulting in an infection. The infection may range from a simple body rash to a harmful disease in case the pathogens penetrate deep under the skin into the bloodstream. The question is how to keep our skin healthy enough so that our immune system becomes a strong barrier in the way of microbial attack. Probably, the use of an antimicrobial soap can prove to be an effective measure. Your preferences for body soap might be varied. Keeping heath foremo...

Review: Soulflower Rose Soap

Life can not be a bed of roses - they say! But what I say is that we can definitely make some experiences of our lives full of rose fragrances, can't we? For instance - getting a shower with rose scented soaps. I definitely have done that and from my experience I can only tell – if you want some moments of your life to feel like heaven, then this is one such thing that can get you that for sure! This particular soap from Soulflower has all in its name - Rose, and believe me when they say that, they really really mean that. Check out more details below. I fell in love with Soulflower soaps around few months back and I've used almost 2-3 different soaps from them till date, which I've reviewed HERE  , HERE  and HERE  . When I opened the wrapper of this soap, I had similar expectations from this as well - subtle fragrance, non-drying, good for skin etc etc. However, this soap actually surprised me a lot from what it delivered to me. I remember I opened this ...

Review: Rosemary Morning Soap from Soulflower

My first experience with Soulflower soaps (Baby Your skin soap) that I shared with you HERE , got my interest back in using soaps. After having a pleasant experience with the baby-your-skin soap, I planned to indulge more into these soaps and I got myself a set of three soaps. Out of these I've already reviewed this Pep-Me-Mint Soap HERE . Today I'd be reviewing the most colorful of the lot - this lovely looking Rosemary Morning soap here. So, check it out below: About this soap: Price: INR 250/- Weight: 150 grams My experience with this soap: The first thing that attracted me towards this soap was its lovely pink and blue color. Such happy colors just add so much of zing and happiness to otherwise boring morning showers, while I drag my feet to the bathroom, dreading yet another day at office. I love using this soap merely for its color. It is a thick soap and lathers well to give that squeaky cleansed feeling. It is easy to rinse off and quite an ea...

A few days back I bought a set of 3 Soulflower soaps from 99labels.com. I've already reviewed Baby Your skin soap from Soulflower here , and my good experience from the soap made me pull back from shower gels and start using soaps again; the reason why I ordered this set. I decided to start with Pep-Me-Mint soap and I've been using this soap since past couple of days now. Check out the details and review below: About Pep-Me-Mint Soap This peppy soap is very refreshing due to its antiseptic & invigorating qualities.  It can improve blood circulation, reduce nausea and headache.  Acts as a toning skin tonic,  cools down inflammation caused by skin blemishes and acne.  Relives itchiness & irritation.  Peppermint nourishes dull skin and gives instant relief when you are down with cold and cough. Preview: Soulflower soaps - My purchase from 99labels

I ordered these soaps around 20-25 days back from 99labels and as the days passed by I lost any hopes of receiving these. While I was trying to convince myself that the order has gone for good, I got these lovelies today. I've already reviewed  Baby Your skin soap from soulflower here   and my pleasant experience with that soap got my interest back to using soaps instead of body washes now. I am planning to start with Pep-me-mint for its obvious turquoise blue color. As of now I am happy admiring the colors of "Pep me mint" and "Rosemary morning" soaps that are quite bright and vibrant rather than boring muddy brown that "Baby your skin" and "Mud a lot" sport. Lets see how these soaps fare with me, going forward!! :)

Review: Makari De Suisse Whitening Exfoliating Soap in the cover of Clarifying exfoliating antiseptic soap

I've never been too fond of soaps that provide exfoliation, just because I simply can not make them work for me. It might be because of the way I apply a soap. I never apply soaps directly on my skin. I usually massage the soap well with my damp hands and then apply the lather over my body, and then rub loofah over it. For face also, I follow the same technique minus the loofah. So, when I came across this soap with exfoliating granules in it, I  wondered if it could work for me or not. To know that, check the review below!! :) Important Update : Makari people did some mistake and sent me a "whitening exfoliating soap" in the cover of "Clarifying exfoliating soap". The one I've reviewed here is not an antiseptic soap. Thanks to Pooja for pointing this out. I don't know why Makari did this. I checked on Google and found out that the original Makari's clarifying exfoliating soap is a green colored soap. It costs around  INR 1089.00,  and you can che...
