About Monave's Mineral loose powder - Caroline: Light yellow undertone for caucasian and light asian skin tones, also has a faint pink hue. Price: $19.50 Quantity: 1g My experience with this loose powder: The powder comes in a jar packaging with a screw open lid and a detachable cover that has small holes for the product to come out. The mineral powder is extremely fine in texture. On applying the powder using a buffer brush, the powder takes some time to blend in, but gives a medium coverage and matte finish to the skin. I've not experienced any fragrance from this powder and it works great in keeping my oily-combination skin shine free for 4-5 hours while I stay in air conditioned environment. I’ve been quite an IT person since past couple of years and I knew how it felt to be in IT without knowing IT jargons. Believe me, everything works in abbreviations and few initial months were gone in getting a hold of the typical "IT language". See I did that again, sigh - 'IT' stands for 'Information Technology'. So, when I entered the makeup world, I was quite amazed to know some makeup jargons typically known to the people who are dealing with makeup. It was a bit alien world for me as most of the terms were completely Greek and Latin to me. What’s EOTD, FOTD, NOTD, LOTD, OOTD!!! ????? I was baffled and somewhat annoyed by my ignorance (as a girl and a geek too for not being able to decipher anything). After much reading, googling and applying some common sense, I figured out a few of these, which I'd be sharing here. I've been using this loose powder since past few days and I am already so much in love with it, that I couldn't stop myself from reviewing it here. Apparently, this also happens to be my first loose powder too. I have oily combination skin and till date I have used only compact powders from various brands to fight the oil on my face. With onset of summers, my oily glands have become even more active and make me look like frying pan more often now. I’ve always found it quite difficult to keep my face matte and shine-free for longer durations, especially during summers. I usually have to do touch ups every 2-3 hours if I am sitting in an air conditioned environment. While staying in the environment without AC, I usually have to apply compact every 1-2 hours to keep oil at bay.
