Oriflame Lip Spa Therapy - Review
A few months back, I ordered a couple of stuffs from Oriflame. I'd been an Oriflame agent and I had to give some orders from my office mates for Oriflame Lip spa therapy. I ordered one for myself along with a couple of other stuffs.
What does the brand say about this product?
Super-hydrating and caring lip balm which offers immediate relief for dry lips. Dual core combines to deliver a 300% moisture boost, helps prevent water loss and helps protect lips from environmental stresses.
Price: The original price of the product is Rs.198/- , but I got it at discount.
Quantity: 1.6g

Right from my childhood, I've always suffered from cracked and dry lips. My mom had tough times helping me to get rid of "bleeding lips". I know that sounds gross, and it was too. I've always had very dry and chapped lips, which even used to bleed during winters. My mom tried all home remedies and other possible stuffs. I began to drink loads of water just so that I can get rid of some dehydration on lips, but all in vain. Also, if any of these remedies would work, I wasn't able to carry them for too long owing to the unavailability of certain things, and lack of luxury to use them everywhere.
I had been so far relying on generously using nivea lip balm, Vaseline petroleum jelly and Cadeavera lip balm. These products worked well for me, till the time they were on my lips. The moment I eat or drink them, my dryness would come back with those ugly peeling lips.
I ordered the lip spa therapy, after knowing its name and after reading its online reviews at many sites. Below is the product and how it looks like on my lips:
How I use it?
I scrub my lips gently, and apply it at night before going to sleep.
My verdict on Oriflame Lip spa therapy:
Pros:
1) It comes in a retractable tube, which makes it quite handy to use anytime.
2) The product comes in this cute white packaging with pink tube inside.
3) The lip spa therapy actually did that so many balms so far failed to do for me. It healed my chapped lips, reduced any fine lines and made my lips soft and supple. I was myself shocked to see the results so instantly. It was a very pleasant feeling to see soft, pretty and most importantly "pink" lips after waking up. I'd have never known the true color of my lips had I not used this product. Because of dryness and constant chapping, I used to think my lips to be pigmented. I even refrained from using any light colored lipsticks or tinted lip balms. But, now I can happily use them!! :D
4) It has SPF 8, so it can work well for day wear.
5) It is a transparent balm, with normal consistency. It is neither too thick, nor too sticky - just balanced. It doesn't have any fragrance.

Cons:
1) The quantity seems quite less for the price you pay. Since it works so well, I don't mind buying it again and again.
2) It gets used up like mad. Seriously, sometimes I feel that it is evaporating on itself inside the tube. With just once-in-a-day application, the tube got reduced to one third in two weeks.I wonder why it melts so much, so easily.
3) Availability: You need to contact an Oriflame consultant to get this product. As of now, I am an Oriflame consultant so I can order it for myself, but going forward I don't know how to get my hands on this.
Rating: 4/5 (One point deducted because of the tube getting eaten up like crazy)

lotus works for me..u knw my dadi says if lips r chapped or dry..put 2-3 drops of ghee in the belly button..

ReplyDeleteha ha..yeah bhumika..My mom tried that many times with me..it used to work but I can't carry that outside na..I mean..it was difficult to carry that!! :( ...That was the most effective remedy for my chapped lips in childhood!! :P :P
ya bt u can do dat while sleepin na..n it takes jus 2 mins or so to get absorbed in..my mom uses d eau d cologne also on me wen i get stomach ache or indigestion n it does help me always..
ReplyDeleteyeah..but it worked for me for just few hours more after I'd wake up in the morning.. :(, and I couldn't carry that along the day with me na!! And thats a nice tip about eau d cologne working for stomach ache...hmmm..wonder what could be the science behind these? :P :P :D
