I ordered this five piece Estee Lauder cosmetics travel kit
from Amazon on January 27th, 2011, and I received the package today. What a lovely day to receive such things! I've always been quite impressed with the kind of packaging Amazon gives. The hardboard case, the thermocols and multiple levels of bubble wrapping around the products, makes it absolutely next to impossible for the package to get damaged in anyway on its own, unless you run a road-roller over it.I ordered for this particular kit, just because I wanted to try all of these stuffs, without having to spend a fortune on any. The package contains following products. I am mentioning the name along with the quantities here:
1) Estee Lauder Pure Color Gloss - Shade 10 Ice pink
: 7ml2) Estee Lauder Advanced repair protective recovery complex
- 7ml3) Estee Lauder Resilience Life Extreme
with SPF 15 - 7ml : The package says that it is basically meant for dry skin and I have oily combination skin so don't know how it would fare with me. Will still give it a try and see how it comes up.4) Estee Lauder Magnascopic Mascara
- 3.5 ml5) Estee Lauder Pure Color Long Lasting Lipstick - Shade # 188 - Rubellite
- Quantity not mentionedI had to spend around $29 (Approx: Rs.1300/-) for this package including the shipping cost.
Everything in this kit is travel sized which comes somewhere between normal samples and full sized products, and I will be able to use them all without getting bored of anything. Most of the times it happens, that despite having a good product, I get bored of them after continuous usage for few months and then throw them off just so that I can try something new. I know, it might sound stupid, but thats the way it is. The reslience cream and advanced repair can be used for 1-2 months, and I believe the sample mascara can also run 10-15 applications, which is more than enough to get my experience of the products. The lipstick however looks like a complete full sized lipstick, which is a good thing for me as the lipstick alone costs around Rs.1500/- in India.

The only complain I have with this kit so far is that mascara is just the sample size one, instead of regular travel size products. They could have made it too 7ml like all the other products!! :)

ReplyDeleteyeah... the kits are one and whole, you can't change the products. But they have various different kits as well..I was particularly intrigued by the eyeshadow one..but didn't order that..!! :P I think I'll order an eyeshadow palette next..I dont have any proper eyeshadow palette except maybelline, inglot and NYC!! :P :P..and that glamour goddess palette has only 2-3 colors working for me!!
you know ..i was going through amazon yest ...would have ordered something then i stopped myself ..hehe...i barely use the ones i have ...:D

ReplyDeleteYeah Rati..the lipstick is really very flattering and buildable too..and the best thing..Its long wearing without drying at all. The lip gelee is cute pink, but a bit frosty. I tried it on my naked lips and it looked toooooo frosty to my taste..but then I tried with Yash lipstick..It came out so gorgeousssssss...The texture is amazinggg..Now I know why you swear by Estee Lauder!! :D :D :D

arre dont worry....I use to look like ghost pehle...when I started 2 years back. Now I got some basics cleared by self experimentation and youtube videos....hehe. And then ofcourse IMBB made huge difference.

ReplyDeleteHe he he..thanks Noopur!!! :D ..Yeah there are many sellers on Amazon who don't ship stuffs to India. So, you need to browse and check a lot. I'll give you a trick. Whenever you choose a product, add all of its variations or dupes or any other stuff in the cart and proceed to check out. On the second step you'd get the information about what can be shipped and what can't, you can delete the stuffs that can't be shipped and then proceed with the check out. I usually do the same. So far Have found these two sellers quite good in their shipping via Amazon- Lipsticknet and Infinite beauty supply. So you can check their store front on Amazon to find something that you want to buy!! :) :) :)

Awesome purchase Cali! And all this stuff + shipping only @1300 is a great deal!! Thanks fr giving the sellers' names too. Travel size packs make so much more sense than the full pack..I get bored with those in time too :D

ReplyDeleteNo, this is just the travel size so it doesn't have the dropper. Though the full version one does come with one!! But, yes it is effective as I can see my pimple marks getting faded away. Also it is extremely light and gets absorbed in skin so well.

ReplyDeleteNo no..its not messy at all..It is highly concentrated serum, but vanishes away and gets absorbed in seconds. You just need 2 drops, apply it gently on effected areas, and rub on your skin. It gets absorbed immediately. It has slightly medicinal smell, which also doesn't linger for long..otherwise it is great!! :) :) ...Do you know about good cosmetic sellers on ebay? I've not had any ebay shopping experience so far!!
