Revlon Colorburst Lipstick – Peach

Though this lipstick has been a major hit amongst most of the beauties, and has been quite bragged about, I still felt like reviewing it here just to share my experience. I bought Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Peach shade, after seeing its review on IMBB. Frankly speaking, when I went to the Revlon counter and asked about this particular lipstick, I found the swatch quite scary. I thought it’d look frosty and too pale on my lips. But, when I applied it on lips, it instantly brightened up my face and looked really beautiful and natural. This has been my HG lipstick since then and I absolutely love everything about it. Let’s get to the review now:

What does Revlon say about its Colorburst range of lipsticks?

My experience with Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Peach:

Pros: 

1)      I absolutely love the perfect peach shade it has. The color brings an instant brightness to my face and I love to wear it for my daily office wear.

2)      I love to use this lipstick for many of my experiments. I love mixing colors and this lipstick works excellently in toning down some real bright shades I have, to subtle beautiful colors.

3)      The peach shade isn’t too bright. It is somewhat sheer, but gives very nice color to your lips.

4)      It is a very moisturizing lipstick. As might be evident to my regular readers from my previous posts on Oriflame lip spa therapy and Cadeavera lip balm, I suffer from extreme lip dryness, chapped lines and flaky lips. A lip balm is must for me to carry any lip product gracefully. Surprisingly, I don’t need any with this lipstick. It is amazingly moisturizing enough to keep my lips in decent condition.

5)      The case comes with color on the lips, making it quite easy to choose from the pack.

Cons:

1)      The lipstick may not be suitable for people who have pigmented lips.

2)      It does moisturize lips well, but you need to get rid of your chapped flakes before you wear this, as the shade is quite sheer and tends to settle in the fine lines, which look really bad.

3)      The staying power isn’t very great. I can expect it to stay for 1-2 hours only, that too when I am not eating or drinking anything.

Overall verdict: I really love this lipstick, the shade and the texture. This is one shade, which I believe, can suit people with both warmer and cooler skin tones. I also like the moisturizing effects of this lipstick, which keep your lips hydrated for as long as you wear it.

Will I purchase it again? Yes, once this is over. I’d get this and would love to try different shade too.
