During my visits to Germany, I spend a lot of time watching TV commercials, because of the only reason that I can somehow understand bits and pieces of them. I wasn't intending to buy any huge bottles, during my last trip, but I was so much intrigued by Syoss's continuous ads on the television, that I decided to give it a shot. I bought Syoss professional repair therapy shampoo from Muller mall, Germany. It has been 3 months now, since I've been using this shampoo and hence thought of reviewing it here.

My experience with the product:

Pros:

1) I love love love the smell of this product. It isn't too strong but quite comfortable and amazing, which lingers on my hair for a long time after every wash.

2) I like the pearl white color of the product. Also the texture is quite smooth and silky. The consistency is perfectly balanced. It is neither too thick, nor too runny.

3) The flip open cap is quite handy, to take the shampoo out. I hate to screw-in and out the lids, especially with such huge bottles.

4) I really like the way it has worked on my hair. I am not the kinds, who wash hair daily - partly because of time constraints and partly for the mere reason of me being super lazy person. But, I do wash my hair trice every week. I've not felt any frizziness or dryness after using this shampoo. The texture of my hair is quite dry and I've made it a habit to apply a conditioner after washing my hair with a shampoo. However, if I don't have much time and I wash my hair using this only, I've found that I can still manage my hair for the day. It does moisturize the roots well.

5) Price is quite apt for the quantity you get.

6) It lathers well, and a small amount is apt to cover large portions.

7) No fallout, no itchiness, no other reaction.

Cons:

1) This may not be a con, but I feel that this product has become my HG. I do use Revlon Aquamarine shampoo as well sometimes, but I love the way Syoss works on my hair. Though the bottle I have is quite huge, I still have (surprisingly) not got bored of it, just coz how wonderfully it works for me. It is only available in Germany I believe. I hope they launch it in India too.

2) Contains SLS.

3) Since the bottle is so huge, I feel a pump dispenser could have eased up the task of taking out the product.

4) I've not felt any major changes in my hair. The split ends still rule, unless I chop them off!

5) No effect on my dandruff as well. 

Overall verdict: For dry haired people like me, Syoss repair therapy can be really a great buy. It nourishes my hair well and is quite light. It smells really amazing, and the smell lingers on my hair for a long time. It doesn’t make my hair frizzy or dry at all. The quantity for the price is also apt.

Will I purchase it again? - Yes! If I get my hands on it somehow.
