I bought this particular lip balm while doing my grocery shopping. I was quite intrigued with its packet that said it had slider opening. I’ve been using this lip balm since 4 weeks now and I have to say that I am quite impressed with the product.
Price: INR 60/-
My experience with the lip balm:
I usually don't use tinted lip balms. All of my lip balms till date have been transparent and now I really wonder over myself, why I never thought of using tinted ones before. This particular lip balm though looks scary in its casing, gives a beautiful natural flush to my lips and makes them look beautiful without the obviousness of them carrying a lipstick. I usually sit at my desk at my office whole day, surrounded with lots of other people who sit in cubicles around me and I can easily apply this lip balm, without feeling too conscious about anyone watching me. Also I love the slider casing of this balm. I don't need to use both my hands to apply this. I simply, slide the lid up, take the wide area of the balm, dab it on my lower lips and then blend the product well all over my lips. Simple, easy and absolutely non messy :). Below are some pros and cons of this balm:
Pros:
1) It comes in elegant and stylish casing with slider lid, hence makes it quite easy to use.
2) I love the unique casing of this lip balm.
3) Gives a beautiful color to my lips, which looks quite natural and instantly brightens up my face.
4) The lip balm is quite moisturizing and does prevent my lips from chapping as long as I am wearing it.
5) It has a shelf life of two years and the amount of product you get is quite a lot for the price you pay.
Cons:
1) The product can't be called a wonder product for rough and chapped lipped people like me. I don't feel any super moisturizing effects from this lip balm. Also the effects vanish as soon as the balm is gone from the lips. So I have to keep on applying it every hour or so to keep my lips smooth.
2) Since the balm is tinted and gives a gorgeous deep pink color to your lips, you may not find it appropriate to wear below any nude lipstick or lip gloss you want to sport. For that, better stick to transparent balms.
3) Even though I am comfortable dabbing the wide part of the lip balm on my lips directly to easily apply it without having to mess with my fingers, I do feel that I'd have to dip my fingers in the jar, once the product from the wide section is over, which is unhygienic for sure.
Overall verdict: It is a decent lip balm at such an inexpensive rate, so can be kept in the bag. I am not sure, if I'd buy it again because the quantity is quite a lot for me to finish. But, after having an experience with this tinted lip balm, I'd definitely love to try other tinted lip balms that can work decently in hydrating my lips!!
