My experience with this cream:

I got this cream from the Estee Lauder Beauty Defining Travel Kit I ordered from Amazon. I got 7ml of the product, which was more than enough to last 3-4 weeks for me. The moment I read about this cream, I was a bit disappointed for it being only for dry skin. I have oily/combination skin so I was quite scared of using it at first. But, I gave it a shot, just to see how it fares and I must say my experiment worked well! Despite being recommended for dry skin, this cream did a good job on my oily-combination skin as well. I can attribute that to its lightweight texture. This cream gets blended easily on my skin, has even consistency throughout winters and summers and gets absorbed quickly without leaving any greasiness behind. On the part of it being used on oily skin, it does give a bit of oiliness but that can be easily managed with the application of compact or loose powder on it.

I've always used Revlon's Touch and Glow cream (My HG cream) for my face, which I love because of its matte finish, lightweight texture and ability to keep my facial skin healthy and glowing. When compared to that, I felt that Estee Lauder Resilience Lift Extreme Ultra Firming Crème doesn't give a matte finish to my skin, but it doesn't make it shiny either. It actually gives a dewy finish to my face which is overall comfortable finish to my face, with very minute bit of oiliness that too in summers only and once I've applied compact over it, my face remains like that for hours which is the best thing I've found about it, as none of the other creams could fight with my face's oil factory this well. This action was quite surprising for me because this cream was meant for dry skin people. I asked one of my office mates who has ultra dry skin to use this cream for few days and she also felt the similar balanced hydrating effects and healthy texture of the skin.

This made me conclude that the cream works in balancing your natural oils, no matter what skin type are you of. So, basically it worked well for both oily and dry skin in my case, but that still may vary from skin to skin. I can not comment much on its ultra firming effect because my age isn't much of testing it, and I don't know anyone who I can give to use this cream. But, it certainly gives a healthy glow to by face for hours by balancing its natural oils without feeling too much weight.

So below are some pros and cons of Estee Lauder Resilience Lift Extreme Ultra Firming Crème

Pros:

1) Though recommended specifically for dry skin, the cream works well for my oily/combination skin too in imparting that natural and healthy glow to my face. It does impart a bit of oiliness, that too I've experienced only in summers or hot weather. But, that can also easily be tamed with compact or loose powder.

2) The texture is quite light and it gets blended and absorbed quite quickly. It gives a natural dewy finish to my face.

3) The cream has heavenly sweet fragrance which isn't too strong, but comfortable to wear.

4) It has SPF 15, which makes it ideal for day wear.

5) This cream doesn't sweat me out in this hot and humid weather like the other face creams did to me before. I guess this attribute may also be because of its light weight texture.

6) It never broke me out (oily/combination skin), nor did it cause any breakout for my friend (dry skin).

Cons:

1) Jar packaging - unhygienic and messy, even for the full product.

2) Price: Being a product from a luxury brand, the high price is expected.

Overall verdict: I feel this product can work well for people with sensitive skins. Where the advance night repair serum can work as perfect night time serum for ladies aged 35+, this one can be their perfect day time cream. I love the healthy glow it has given to my face and how both this and the night serum worked in reducing spots and pigmentation on my skin. I guess, this product too has got added into my list of HG products I'd need after 10-15 years from now.
