It can work as an everyday moisturizing sun protector with SPF-15 that not only locks essential moisture but also works as defense system for the skin by protecting it from ill-effects of the sun, wind, UV radiation and heat.

It can help heal minor rashes and sun burns while moisturizing skin.

My experience with the product (inclusive of the points I discussed on my first impression post)

I've been using this lotion daily twice - once in morning before leaving for office and then in afternoon after splashing my face with water, and it has been 10 days now. I feel that now I can share my experience on this lotion here with you guys. I've oily combination skin and as I mentioned before, this lotion gave a nice matte finish after application.

The first time I applied it, I felt a bit of tingling sensation on my skin which kind of scared me as I don't have very sensitive skin, but I was worried if the lotion was reacting or something. But, the tingling went off within a couple of seconds. I've not felt any such sensation after that on the consequent usage. The application of this lotion followed by a compact powder, definitely keeps my face matte and oil free for around 2-3 hours, after which I have to apply compact again to ward off any tiny-mini oiliness that I get around my nose, forehead and chin.

Below are the pros and cons of this lotion:

Pros:

1) It works really well for my oily-combination skin. It gives subtle matte finish which is not super matte, but dewy kinds that I like for day time. I've experienced certain level of brightening too in my complexion, which looks quite healthy and natural. I can say that because the only things I changed in past 10 days of my beauty regime are - using this lotion and a different evening facewash. I know that the facewash didn't do anything on my skin's complexion coz it never did that on my previous usage too, so it has to be this lotion only, and I've really felt quite positive affects on my skin so far.

2) My husband too has oily combination skin, but he always refuses to use any kind of lotion for reasons unknown to me. He usually gets weird rashes on his forehead most of the times whenever he goes out in sun, and he has a bad habit of pricking them up, leading to bad scars and marks all along his forehead. One night he was again pricking up the rashes and pimples and I desperately pulled his hand back, what I saw next was another bloody mark added to his other rashes and marks on his forehead. I went mad, shouted a lot and then forcefully applied this lotion on his forehead since the lotion claimed to have anti-bacterial properties and healing abilities on rashes and burns. After leaving the application overnight, I was quite impressed to see the effects next morning.

Most of the marks were healed to a great extent, and even the last night's fresh scar had dried out completely and shrunken a lot. Husband was quite happy with this and asked me what I applied on his forehead! :) and allowed me to apply it on his forehead scars daily. The rashes and scars have dried up to a great extent and I can see his much neater forehead now. Seeing this experience I definitely agree to the healing claims of this lotion.

3) I like the packaging of this lotion. The green color of the complete range adds the certain herbal touch to it, making it really soothing and attractive for summer season. We don't have too many trees left in Bangalore now, with all construction and rapid deforestation, so any form of green feels good to look at. My desktop's wall paper is also green in color!

4) The lotion comes with a pump and a nozzle to take the product out. However, it doesn't have any cap to cover the pump. The interesting thing about the packing is that the pump is secured with this plastic ring, which can stop anyone from accidentally pressing it down. Whenever you don't want to use it, slide the ring on the neck of the pump and your bottle is secured!

It has so far worked well in avoiding any spillage while I carry the lotion in my handbag daily to office. In order to not loose the locking ring, you can tie it with a thread to the neck of the bottle.

5) It has SPF 15, which definitely makes it good for day time wear.

6) It is preservative free, paraben free and free from any artificial fragrance or color.

7) I found the consistency of this lotion quite light and it gets absorbed quickly. It is slightly tinted like lacto calamine lotion, but does not leave any whitish cast and gets absorbed quickly. It hasn't left any greasiness or stickiness behind as of now.

8) It has a strong smell of rose water. However, I can also smell somewhat herbal kind of essence from it.

9) It didn't break me out nor did it cause any allergic reactions to my skin.

10) Price for the quantity and quality you get makes it quite economical.

Cons:

1) As of now it is only available at Salons and spas that use Herbal products, particularly lotus herbals.

2) I might have got a bad piece because it took me ages to make the pump work and get some product out of it, but after that it has been working fine, though I have to cover the nozzle with my hand, as it squirts the product out like a spray, and if I am not super careful, the product lands on everything in its vicinity.

3) It has SPF 15 which is good for daytime, but I'd still recommend you to use an extra sunblock with greater SPF to stay armed against the scorching sun outside.

4) Though it may not be a con, but I am a bit uncomfortable of the open nozzle thing. Though the ring secures the pump from any accidental press, I still feel that the nozzle remains open all the time and might get contaminated over a period of time with all the dust and dirt around.

As of now, I've covered it with an old rose water spray's cap.

Overall verdict: I have never got very good experience with face moisturizers and lotions, especially because they tend to make my oily-combination skin even more oily - the reason why I've always refrained myself from getting any type of lotion for face. However, this particular lotion has worked quite well on my skin by keeping it well moisturized and protected with its SPF, along with imparting brightness to my complexion too without making my skin oily or greasy.

The best thing about the lotion is that it is parabens free and preservatives free, which is definitely needed for our skin in today's world when it is surrounded by so much pollution and chemicals already. I'd love to try other products too from this range. With the quantity, quality and price of this lotion, I definitely would love to buy it, but with some secured cap on its pump next time! :).
