It’s been quite a time since I used any soap on my face or body. I've been sticking to body washes and face washes only, since around a year now, for the mere reason that they are easier to apply and work with. So, when I was given a chance to try "Baby Your Skin" soap from Soulflower, it took me sometime to get used to it. I've been using this soap since past 2 weeks now as both face wash and body wash, and my overall experience has been quite satisfactory.

My experience with this soap:
The first thing I noticed about this soap was its thickness and huge size. I literally couldn't hold it properly while applying it and kept on dropping it off the first time I used it. I tried it on my body first for a few days and then seeing the effects, switched to using it on my face. While washing my face it was ok to use as I just had to get a little amount by rubbing my wet hand around it, making the lather and massaging it on my face, but for body, I had to keep the soap in the soap-case, and rub a wet loofah on the soap to get the contents out and apply them on.
However, with passage of time I got hold of using this soap. I'd have still appreciated if the size and shape had been more user-friendly. When I kept the soap back in its case after first use, I had trouble taking it out the next day as the soap got stuck to the base and with that shape, size and slippery texture, it was quite an effort to take it off. It lathers well and has nice and mild sweet and fruity smell that reminds me a lot of papaya and rice.
Below are some pics:
Now, I keep it this way on the case to avoid any tug of war with the soap:
Below are some pros and cons that I've felt from this soap:
Pros:
1) I like the smell of this soap, which is a bit fruity and sweet, particularly of papaya with herbal touch to it. It is neither too strong nor too mild to go unnoticed, just perfect enough to give a nice, soothing and refreshing experience.
2) The soap lathers well and gives somewhat slippery feeling to the skin on application, which I believe is because of glycerin and yogurt. However, it is quite easy to wash off and doesn't take too much effort.
3) I haven't felt any dryness in my skin using this soap. My skin felt hydrated and moisturized after I've had bath from this soap. I can tell that, since many times I skip applying body lotion early morning after taking shower, especially when I get ready in a rush for office. I've not experienced any dryness or itchiness on my skin which is a good thing as I usually have super dry skin all over my body and have to stick to using body lotions irrespective of any season or place.
4) My face feels well cleansed after I wash it with this soap. It does remove my makeup well and doesn't give any dry stretchy feeling to my face after wash.
5) It didn't give me any allergic reactions.
6) A very little amount is needed to take care of the face and whole body, and seeing the size and shape of this soap, I feel it will go a long way.
7) Since it is made up of all natural and organic ingredients, it is definitely more skin friendly and better than other chemically synthesized soaps and body washes that come with dangerous stuffs like SLS etc.
Cons:
1) Shape: With that huge size, I'd have preferred if it'd have come in some nice user friendly shape for better hold and usage.
2) Though soap is easy to wash off, I've felt a sudden sticky feeling on my skin immediately after rinsing the soap off my skin, which feels quite weird and probably is because of yogurt. The sticky touch goes off within seconds.
3) It could remove my makeup well, but left some traces of makeup behind while dealing with waterproof and long lasting makeup products.
Overall verdict: I quite liked the soap for its natural and organic ingredients, and nourishing abilities. A tip to use this soap may be to cut it into half so that you get a better grip and use it more easily. Another way you can use it is the one I told above for body- let the soap rest on its base, take a wet loofah and rub it over the soap to get the desired amount and apply it on.
