I love my hair to smell nice all the time, the reason why I stay away from coconut hair oil despite knowing the good things it can do to my hair. For the same reason, I love my shampoos, conditioners, hair creams and everything to smell nice and it becomes even better if they smell citrusy. Himalaya Herbals protein shampoo gave me the exact experience of having nice citrusy smelling hair, which I love a lot!

My experience with this shampoo:
The first time I applied this shampoo I was bowled over by its "Raw mango" kind of smell, which I absolutely adored a lot. The smell is a bit sweet and sour and gave me nice refreshing experience. The shampoo is gel based and its consistency is a bit thicker than what I've experienced from other shampoos.

Below are some pros and cons that I've felt from this shampoo:
Pros:
1) I absolutely love its "Kacchi Ambi" kind of smell. It may be because of "Amla" in it, but it reminds me a lot of raw mangoes and I simply adore it!
2) It comes in a nice flip open cap that makes the taking out of shampoo and application quite easy.
3) The consistency of this shampoo is a bit thicker than other shampoos, and hence I usually take it out, dilute it a bit with little water and then apply it. The good thing is that a little can be more than enough to cover entire head.
4) It never made my hair dry or sticky. It just works well in cleansing my head properly, while maintaining the softness of my hair. My hair usually comes in dry and damaged category and it has worked well in taking good care of them.
5) Price for the quantity makes it quite affordable.
6) It contains mostly natural ingredients, which definitely makes it score over other chemical shampoos for me.
Cons:
1) I experienced certain hair fall in the initial washes from this shampoo, when I switched to it. This is something I've experienced from all the shampoos, whenever I change from one to another; except for Syoss professionals and Revlon Aquamarine shampoo.
2) It doesn't lather much on my head in first wash (even when I've not oiled my hair). I usually use two rounds of shampoo on my hair. It gives decent lather on the second wash.
Overall verdict: I find it to be a decent shampoo for regular hair wash. It is neither too harsh nor too mild in action; just good enough to do its job. I usually wash my hair every alternate day in summers, and except for initial 2-3 washes it has faired well with my hair. I am anyway biased towards its smell so I'd definitely love to buy it again for that at the least!
