I've never been much of a primer person, but lately with all the makeup and beauty blogs, videos etc., I thought of giving it a try. I planned to start my primer experiment with Oriflame's primer, but as is the case after waiting for 3-4 months for it to come back in stock I gave up on it and got myself Maybelline primer. Below goes the review:

My experience with this primer:
I usually don't apply makeup everyday for office. My general makeup routine is to slap on some moisturizer, concealer, pressed or loose powder, sometimes blush, eye liner, mascara and lipstick. While trying to experiment with this primer, I skipped the moisturizer part and applied this primer instead and the difference that it made was certainly noticeable. Not only did it moisturize my face, it also gave my skin a silky smooth finish. My skin remained oil free for longer duration and I can tell that because I didn't change any of the other face products apart from this primer.
Below are some likes and dislikes that I've experienced about this primer:
Likes:
1) I love the way it gives a nice matte finish to my skin, without drying it out. The finish looks very natural and stays that way for a long time.
2) It makes the foundation application and finish a lot better than what I get without the primer. The foundation blends in better and looks more natural.
3) It has SPF 35+ which is great as I don't have to apply a separate sunscreen for my face.
4) I need very less amount to cover entire face, so the bottle is definitely gonna last quite long.
5) Quite affordable at the price.
Dislikes:
1) I don't have any particular dislike from this product, but from the brand. Maybelline tests its products on animals and I am quite against of it.
2) It contains parabens.
Overall verdict: If you are not a huge makeup junkie then this primer can do a decent job for everyday makeup routine. It has SPF and gives my face a nice silky smooth finish which stays that way for 5-6 hours. I've oily combination skin and this has worked a great deal in keeping my skin well behaved. Definitely recommended.
