SKIN CARE
1. Apply mustard
oil on face, neck, ears hands and legs a day before Holi. The colour can be
removed from the skin easily by this.
2. To keep your
skin safe from colours, try wearing clothes which cover the whole of your body.
This way, less part of your body will come in contact of the colours.
3. Add a bowl of
curd in two tablespoons of lime juice, and apply it on the areas having colour.
Then take a bath with normal or lukewarm water. This way the colour will surely
go off.
4. Before taking
bath mix gram flour, almond oil, milk cream in rose water. Make it into a thick
paste and apply it on the areas having colour. Keep it till the paste is dry.
Remove it by rubbing with hands.
5. After washing
off the colour with water, put some rose water in your eye and take rest. The
eyes will feel relaxed.
HAIR CARE
1. Do not keep your hair open. Tie it up. Tying
up gives lesser area of your head to be exposed to colours giving you an added
advantage to have lesser stains to worry about.
2. A night before Holi, take a head massage
with a mixture of jojoba and rosemary oil or coconut oil. This will provide
your hair with ample nutrition which gets dry the due to the colours.
3. If you have a sensitive scalp skin, also add
a few drops of lemon juice to avoid any infection triggered by the chemicals in
colours.
4. After playing Holi, wash off your hair with
plain water so that most of the colour comes off. Rinse off your hair
immediately with a mild shampoo and conditioner.
5. Take 2 tablespoons olive oil with 4
tablespoons of honey and a few drops of lemon juice. Mix them well and apply
this pack to your hair and scalp. Leave it on for half an hour and rinse it off
with mild shampoo with warm water. This pack will nourish your hair and scalp.
Hopefully, the above tips will help you in enjoying your Holi to its fullest extent this year.
