My experience with this shampoo and conditioner
Me aged 12 years: Mom, my single hair strand has got so many branches...see!
Mom: Those are called split ends. Let me massage your hair with hair oil. God knows why your hair look like a "sadhu's"

Me at Present: Can it be possible to keep the length of my hair, while you give layers?
Hair stylist at Parlor: I need to chop off at least 5 inches mam; you've got plenty of split ends there.
Me: sigh!
You see, I've struggled and have some how managed to keep my dream of long and flowing hair to some extent till date, but the dry and split ends of my hair have always been a problem. So, when I came across this particular shampoo and conditioner from Dove, I was quite excited to give them a try and see if they could do some magic on the rough ends of my hair. Its been around 2 weeks now, since I've been using this shampoo and conditioner and I've quite liked them so far. Let's get into the details of each below:
My experience with Dove Split Ends Rescue shampoo
Price: INR 132 for 80 ml
The first thing that I absolutely love about this shampoo is its fragrance. It smells and looks almost the same as Dove Damage therapy Hair fall rescue shampoo that I reviewed here, just that this one's fragrance reminds me a bit of baby powder too. Absolutely divine and soothing to the senses. The shampoo has more creamy consistency and is easy to apply. It creates decent amount of lather and works well in cleansing off all the oil, dirt and (these days) sweat as well. The best thing that I liked about this shampoo is the way it keeps my hair well moisturized after wash. I don't feel any frizz or dryness on my hair and quite love using it everyday. I've usually used this shampoo along with the conditioner most of the times, but sometimes because of my busy schedule, I skipped using the conditioner, and simply washed my hair with this shampoo. My hair remained soft and bouncy whole day, but lost their softness the next day.
With the conditioner I've felt my hair to remain smooth and soft for at least 2 days after which, I anyway wash my hair again.
My experience with Dove Split Ends Rescue conditioner
Price: INR 68 for 75 ml
The conditioner comes in a tube with flip open cap. It comes out in white cream and smells the same way as Dove Damage therapy Hair fall rescue conditioner did. I like the way how easily it spreads on my hair and gets rinsed off without much fuss. Along wit the Split repair shampoo, this conditioner has worked well in keeping my hair extra soft and smooth for 2-3 days. I've felt that this conditioner makes my hair softer than what intense repair therapy conditioner did.
Overall:
The only issue with this shampoo and conditioner is the use of so many chemicals, sulfates and silicones. I am not much fan of silicone based hair products as silicone has a tendency to get deposited on your hair and make your hair go lack-luster and dull over a period of time.
I quite loved both the shampoo and conditioner on their work. I like the way they feel so mild on my hair while working well in cleansing off the oil, dirt and sweat. The tap water here at my place is quite hard and usually ends up giving rough hair, but the shampoo and conditioner have worked quite well for my hair in keeping them cleansed, hydrated, smooth and soft. As far as their claims on repairing split ends is concerned,I feel that their usage in long run might help in getting an even texture of your hair, as the more your hair strands stay hydrated, lesser are the chances of them getting frayed at the ends.
Rating for both shampoo and conditioner:
4/5 (A)
