First day of college face with Maybelline New York’s Essentials

I remember my first day of college and it always brings a smile on my face. The whole nervousness, an eagerness to step my best foot forward and make new friends just made my first day to college really exciting. Whenever, I think of my basic makeup essentials at that time, I remember I used to apply a sunscreen, some talc, kajal and a clear lip balm.

Today, in collaboration with Maybelline New York, here is a simple and fresh no-makeup look that I’ve come up with for you to try for your first day to college, using only 3 makeup essentials from the brand:

- Maybelline New York BB cream

- Maybelline New York colossal kajal

- Maybelline New York Baby lips lip balm

I’ve also mentioned a few tips to make your eyes and lashes look more open up without having a need to apply mascara. Check out below:

1) Start with a clean bare face. Take a small amount of Maybelline New York BB cream in a shade that matches your skin tone; dot the cream all over the face and blend well to create an even skintone.

2) If you have oily skin, then it is best to apply a bit of compact powder to keep your face shine-free. I’ve found Maybelline New York's Dream Matte powder to be quite good to keep your face free of oil and shine whole day.

3) Next, take Maybelline New York Colossal Kajal and apply it on your waterline. I also apply the kajal on the inner side of the upper lashline to make my lashes look dark and dense.

4) Next, take Maybelline Baby Lips lip balm (Cherry flavor) and apply it on your lips.

5) Take a bit of the lip balm on your index finger and thumb and apply it on the outer part of your upper lashes to coat each lash evenly. Then using your index finger curl your upper lashes and hold for a few seconds. Voila! You’ve got nice curled lashes that make your eyes look more open up and bright!

6) Put on your favorite pair of cute earrings, wear a nice friendly smile and you are ready to win hearts as you go along your first day in college!
