Elle 18 Juicy Lip Balm - Juicy Berry

With the onset of winters, comes the season of dry skin and chapped lips. Somehow my skin starts behaving even more weirdly in winters. The skin on my face transforms from being oily-combination to normal; the skin on my body becomes dry and that on my lips becomes super dry. Every winter it becomes a task for me to keep my lips in normal condition. Till date out of all the lip balms I've used so far, certain few worked decently for me. I recently decided to try this Juicy Lip balm from Elle 18 and here below goes my experience with it :

My experience with Elle 18 Juicy Lip Balm - Juicy Berry

This lip balm has become my current favourite lip balm for the season. I love its packaging, the ease of its usage, the lovely coral-pink tint it imparts to my lips and the way it keeps my lips soft and supple for hours. The lip balm has almost a lip-gloss like feel on my lips, but it doesn't feel heavy at all. It stays put on my lips for 1.5-2 hours if I don't eat or drink anything. However, even after it gets wiped off, my lips stay smooth and soft for another 3-4 hours after which I do feel a need to apply it again. The slanting top like applicator makes the application easy and gives a smooth and even finish on the lips.

The only drawback of such an applicator is that if you've accidentally squeezed out excess amount, you can't put it back.The lip balm has a bit caramel like fragrance which smells sweet, however it is tasteless. At times I've even used this lip balm as a gloss over my coral matte lipsticks to add a bit of shine, more color and hydration, and it has worked wonderfully well.

 Let us have a look at some of the likes and dislikes that I've felt about this Elle 18 Juicy Lip Balm below.

  Likes:

 1) Comes in a nice handy packaging, that is easy to carry and convenient to use.

 2) The shade - Juicy berry gives a soft pink-coral tint to the lips that looks beautiful.

 3) Very moisturizing for the lips while giving a smooth finish with almost a lip gloss like consistency.

 4) Quite light weight on the lips.

 5) Keeps my (usually!) super dry lips hydrated for around 3-4 hours.

 6) Tasteless

 7) Comes with SPF 15.

 8) Good on pocket!

  Dislikes:

 1) Its caramel like fragrance may be a turn off for people with sensitive noses. However, the fragrance lasts only for few seconds of application after which it is gone.

 2) The general problem with such squeeze tube lip balm applicators, where you can't put the excess amount back and need to be careful with the quantity you take out each time. Overall, I am quite happy with this lip balm and have been using it quite a lot these days. Will try to get some other shades in it for sure.
