My experience with Maybelline Lip Polish Pop 6
Lip polishes are one of the latest launches by Maybelline India and I got a chance to try the shade Pop 6 from this range. The whole concept and even the shade reminds me a lot of my Lancôme La Laque Fever Ultimate Lasting full color lip shine. However, there are certain very noticeable differences. Maybelline Lip Polish Pop 6 comes in a cute transparent bottle with an applicator attached to its cap. The sponge tip applicator is quite sturdy and gives a nice smooth coverage in one go. The lip polish is a lot like a regular lip gloss, just that it gives decent opaque color and shine in one go. The shade Pop 6 is a gorgeous coral shade with a touch of pink to it.
Also, I find it very hydrating on my lips, so I don't need to apply a lip balm separately. It worked well in keeping my lips hydrated for hours, even in current dry January winters of Gujarat. However, I can't say the same about the staying power of its color. Most of the color starts fading within an hour of application, and you are left with just a slight tint of color on your lips. The shine stays put for another hour or so, after which you definitely need to apply it again.
Overall, I am quite enjoying using Maybelline Lip Polish Pop 6 these days. Apart from giving shine and lovely color to my lips, it hydrates my lips well and keeps them soft for hours. The shade instantly gives a nice glow to my face and works quite well in brightening up my day.
