Hi friends,
This year Cannes witnessed some real ravishing makeup looks by our gorgeous celebrities. While Aishwarya Rai Bacchhan took the award for being the best dressed celebrity on the red carpet, one simply couldn't ignore the elegance and grace of another "always best dressed" celebrity we all love a lot. Arriving amidst more tame silhouettes, colours and hemlines, Sonam Kapoor shook things up a bit on the Cannes red carpet in a magnificent black Ellie Saab couture gown. Her retro hairstyle and beautiful red lips all but sealed the look to be one of the best red carpet looks of all times.
Even though I didn't have the same lipstick (which probably was Loreal Paris Colour Riche Moist Matte Lipstick Raspberry Syrup), she sported in this look, I so much wanted to try her hairdo and makeup with the ingredients I had in my hand. Though it didn't look exactly the same, I was pretty pleased with this version of mine. Have a look at it below, followed by a step by step tutorial of how I achieved this look.
1. After creating my base, I started my eye makeup by lining my upper lashes with L'Oreal Paris Kajal Magique. I applied Kajal in small strokes on the outer third of my lids and blended to get a soft smokey look.
2. Next I applied L'Oreal Paris Gelmatic pen to line my waterline. It gives a soft definition to my eyes without making them look too harsh.
3. I used L'Oreal Paris Million Lashes Voluminous Mascara on my upper lashes.
4. Next I used on my lips. The lipstick has a bit orange undertones to it, so I used another pink lipstick to give a pinkish touch to it.
Do, let me know what do you think about this makeup look. :) Oh! and I recently got my super cute rose earrings from romwe !! :D
