Don't get me wrong. I absolutely love this foundation from Maybelline fit me range, and this shade 230 - Natural buff almost feels like second skin on my skin and complexion. However, the way it stays put on my face is something I find slightly weird.
I checked my shade online from reviews of various bloggers and got my perfect shade after reading the review on corallista blog. I placed the order online on amazondotin and got it happily in my makeup kitty 😁 few months back.
My joys held no bounds when I saw the way it so seamlessly blended into my skin and gave me an almost airbrushed finish, that too without the use of any primer. Total bliss 😇.
However, after few hours of wearing it full on face, I saw that my face looked a lil darker. So, OMG 😱 it oxidizes after 3-4 hours of wearing....and bleh 😒 there goes my happiness down the drain.
But, I loved the shade and the texture so decided to wear it like a concealer and not like a foundation. Somehow, it has worked miraculously that way and I am back to feeling blissful... 😁😁😁
All I do is just take a bit of product, the way I would take my concealer, dot it under my eyes, on my blemishes or acne, dot it around my pigmented areas around nose and lips..and just blend it all with my fingers or foundation brush or a makeup sponge. I haven't felt the need of using any separate concealer after using this. So, for me its kind of a two-in-one product.
It gives the airbrushed finish, stays put whole day without making my face cakey, flaky or dark in anyway and I love wearing it on everyday basis. I have combination skin and it didn't make it any oilier or drier in both summers and winters.
Overall, if you want a light-medium coverage foundation, then this is perfect for you.
