Before starting anything check out the pic below of my transformation from being at 74 kgs to 60kgs in 5 months:
My journey from 74 , 67, to 60 kgs in 5 months included no crash dieting, no special diet plans and even no GYM though I workout at home. From what I learned, basically it involved understanding your body and making few changes in your lifestyle accordingly.
Also, I lost 14 kgs in 5 months, by working out properly IN AC so that I don't sweat much as I absolutely hate sweating.
And no matter how many people told me to do otherwise...it didn't matter... :) ..Sweating can only lead to water and salt loss, may be that can make you see that you lost grams after working ..err..sweating it out...
Ok..so here are some of the rules I followed.
Warning: Its a long post; only those who are interested read it till end. :P
1) Don't workout for weight loss: Workout for staying fit and healthy. There is a huge difference. I workout to get rid of stress, and if it helps in staying fit, its a double win .. ;)
2) Eat only when you are hungry: The moment you are full, stop eating. You need not clear the whole plate.
3) I didn't go for crash dieting or reduced my food intake. I always aim to eat till I am full. I simply switched the types of food to high protein and low carb ones. e.g. for lunch, instead of having 2 rotis, sabzi and daal, have 1 roti, 2 bowls of daal and 1 bowl sabzi. You can also include curd, salads etc as per your taste.
4) I love spicy food , so I focused on getting varieties of seasonings - Paprika, chaat masala, Mexican seasoning etc.
5) My munching goodies have been chana, almonds, cashews, pistachio and raisins. No more need to munch on chips and kurkure.
6) Drink lots and lots of water. I guess I drink around 4 litres of water everyday. I don't need to tell the benefits. Just google.
7) Replace morning tea with coffee and Replace sugar in coffee with honey. You can use any other sweetener too like jaggery.
8) I stopped using any oil from market for cooking food, and use home made ghee only. It has made a LOT of difference in overall health of the whole family.
9) Start your day with a magic potion. It may not taste great, but it makes a lot of difference in boosting your metabolism. Here is how to make it:
1 cup warm water + half lemon juice + half teaspoon cinnamon powder. Mix it all and Just drink it every morning before doing anything and see the magic happen ! :)
The best advice I read sometime back was to always strive to be a little better today than what you were yesterday. Daily implement just 1 thing that can help you grow into a better version of yourself, no matter how small the step is. Here is my before and after pic taken from being at 75 kgs weight in January 2016 to being at 58 kgs now in October 2016. The journey of losing 17 kgs in 10 months has been a real amazing experience for me .... :) #staywow #weightloss #weightlossjourney #loosingweight #myweightlossjourney #weighlossmotivation
