I bought this particular face scrub while coming back from New York. For a lazy soul like me, it lasted for 2 years. Since, I was about to finish it off and throw the tube now, I thought to review it here and immortalize it :P (Just kidding!). The problem is, I don't know if it is available in India or not. So, I am not very sure, when will I be able to use it again. Yes, you got that right - I'd love to use it again.
I bought this scrub from Duane Reade drugstore and I paid something between $8 and $9 for this. However, as per Amazon
the product is available in a pack of 6 pieces at the price of $17.64. Separately, you can buy it for $5.70.
Quantity: 170 g (6 oz)
Put your best face forward. Enjoy a natural-fiber facial scrub that exfoliates the surface layers of your skin to uncover a healthy, glowing complexion. Dead skin cells build up on the surface of your face, clogging pores and dulling natural radiance. Apricot Natural Facial Scrub helps eliminate this build up, leaving skin radiant, soft and smooth. Use once a week or more often if your skin is oily. Ideal for use in the shower too.
Ingredients
Water (Aqua), Juglans Regia (Walnut) Shell Powder, Glyceryl Stearate, Peg-100 Stearate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Cetyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Kaolin, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Kernel Oil, Isopropyl Myristate, Dimethicone, Sambucus Nigra Flower Extract, Primula Veris Extract, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Extract, Chamomile Recutita (Matricaria) Extract, Triethanolamine, Polysorbate 60, Carbomer, Propylene Glycol, Diazolidinyl Urea, Methylparaben, Propylparaben Phenoxyethanol, Fragrance (Parfum), Titanium Dioxide (Ci 77891)
Direction of usage: Moisten face and neck with warm water. Apply a small amount of Apricot Scrub with wet fingertips and massage gently into skin avoiding the sensitive areas near your eyes. Rinse well with warm water and pat dry.
My take on the product:
Pros:
1) I love the scrub for my oily/combination skin. I find the scrub quite coarse and rich in the granules and works wonderfully in exfoliating my skin.
2) My skin does feel smooth and radiant after usage. The radiance continues for at least 3-4 days, after which I use it again. It works amazingly in removing dead skin.
3) While usage, I use it for exfoliating my lips as well. There too I love the way it leaves my lips soft, smooth and pinkish!! :D
4) The quantity is quite decent for the price you pay.
Cons:
1) Since the beads and the granules are quite coarse and rich in the scrub, it may not be very good for people who have acne.
2) I find the apricot particles a bit too hard for my skin. You need to be careful with the amount of scrubbing you do; otherwise an extended use may give you rashes.
3) Contains parabens and synthetic perfumes.

Overall, it is a decent product, though nothing very extraordinary. It does what it claims to do that is to exfoliate well. I like the product a lot and will possibly buy it if I see it anywhere again. I might also love to see how other face scrubs and face masks by Queen Helene
work especially the mint julep face mask
.
