Review: Dior Addict High Shine Lipstick Shade # 914 Front-Row Fig

I ordered this particular lipstick after going through the online shades and numbers provided at Sephora. However, I couldn't buy it from Sephora as till date Sephora doesn't ship to India. I hope they read this and start working on it! :P. Anyways, I ordered this from Amazon.com by the seller Infinite beauty supplies and got it in perfect condition within 10 days of order.

I really love the texture, packaging and shade of this lipstick, and hence reviewing it here today.

My experience with the product:

I really love the classy packaging of this lipstick. However, when I saw the actual shade I thought it would look too old and maroon kind on me. But, when I applied it, I really loved the color it imparted to my lips. The shade is quite sheer and does look beautiful on lips. Also, I don't know if it is because of the translucent texture of the lipstick, the shade looks different in different lights. It looks sheer and quite light in day light, but somewhat dark and glamy in night light. I don't know how it works, but I am happy as I can wear it for both day and night looks.

Pros:

1) Lovely packaging, with holographic effects on the casing.

2) Moisturizing effects. The lipstick doesn't dry out my lips at all. It is quite moisturizing and I don't need to apply any kind of lip balm beneath it.

3) Imparts lovely color to the lips, which change according to the kind of lighting you are in.

4) Doesn't have any fragrance.

Cons:

1) Low staying power: I don't agree with the long wearing claim. The lipstick doesn't stay long on my lips. I can expect a staying power of 1 hour only, provided I don't eat or drink anything. So, I need to do touch ups every hour or so, whenever I am wearing this.

Overall verdict:

I absolutely love the texture of this lipstick and would definitely try to buy some other shades in this. If you have any recommendations, I'd love to know them.
