I bought this shampoo while shopping at Dubai Airport's transit area. I bought this particular shampoo on sale around a year back and have been using it since then. I keep on switching it with Syoss professionals too which I bought around 6 months back at Germany, as I get bored of one product quite easily. Also, I've heard that you should not stick to one hair care product for a long time as that makes your hair get used to the product and you might face hair loss and other problems during the times you want to switch to some other product. So, here goes my review of Revlon Fresh Scent Aquamarine Extra Body Shampoo:
Revlon Fresh Scent Aquamarine Extra Body Shampoo with natural sea proteins and minerals cleanses your hair with fresh-as-the-sea. Enriched with essential mineral ingredients, gentle Aquamarine formula with natural proteins cleans through and through to build body and volume, even for fine, limp hair. Special formula gives hair that shiny, healthy look. Rich lather removes oil, residues - leaves hair refreshed and sea-sparkling.
Get dazzling beauty with Aquamarine.

My experience with the product:
When I began using this product a year back, the smell, the color and its consistency reminded me of Ayur Herbals shampoo that I used to use during my school and college time. I was a bit apprehensive about the shampoo because Ayur Herbals shampoo used to make my dry hair, even drier and would make them frizzy and fluffy making it impossible for me to tame them, unless I apply some hair oil and tie my hair tightly in two knots. This was perfectly permissible for me that time as I wasn't allowed any other hairstyle at school for my long hair except for two knots.
But, I can't expect to behave the same way now at office or else my office people might start doubting my sanity and ask me to visit a psychiatrist!
Anyways, I used this shampoo and was quite happy with the results it showed. The shampoo lathered well and cleansed my hair too. However, it was quite light in action and didn't dry out my hair. I anyway always use a conditioner after every hair wash, but even for the times when I skipped the conditioning part - I could easily tame my hair with just a simple hair serum. So, far the shampoo has worked pretty well in cleansing my head and hair well without causing any side effects.
Below are pros and cons of Revlon Aquamarine Shampoo:
Pros:
1) Comes in a large round sturdy bottle with a flip open cap. This makes the task of pouring out the shampoo – quite easy. Also the bottle is translucent and hence you'd always know how much product is left in the bottle.
2) The consistency of the shampoo is quite balanced, i.e. is neither too thick nor too thin. The shampoo is blue in color and comes out of bottle quite easily. So you don’t have to squeeze the product out.
3) The shampoo works quite mildly in cleansing my head. At times when I apply hair oil, I wash by rinsing my hair well with water, taking small amounts of this shampoo and applying it evenly all over the scalp and hair. It doesn't lather much because of oil. I rinse my head again with water and apply small amount of shampoo second time. It lathers well this time and thoroughly cleanses the oil and dirt off my head and hair.
4) The shampoo is quite hydrating and does not dry out my hair or scalp.
5) It has never given me any allergic reactions or undue hair fall.
6) The smell of this shampoo is quite nice. In fact, you might get reminded of Ayur Herbals shampoo (the purple - Amla and Reetha one, if you’ve used it anytime) from this shampoo's smell.
Cons:
1) Availability: Though I saw this product mentioned in Amazon and some other online shopping networks, I don't know if it is available in India or not.
2) It contains SLS and parabens.
3) The bottle is pretty huge and I feel a pump dispenser would have eased up the task of taking the product out.
Overall verdict: I really liked this particular hair care range that is marketed by Revlon - both Flex conditioner and Aquamarine shampoo. I have very dry/rough and kind of damaged hair because of all the negligence I’ve given to them, and somehow both these products have worked well in taking good care of my hair. I really wish these products to be commercially launched in Indian markets too.
