I've always suffered from pigmentation around my cuticles on hands and toes. I can easily blame so many things around me for that - climate change, sun rays and my childhood activities of always playing outside barefooted. But, the fact boils down to one very important reason - laziness, or may be over-work.
I've tried many hand creams till date and have got good results from them in softening my hands and nails, and getting a nice healthy glow in them, but the darkened areas and pigmentation still prevailed. So, when I got to try this particular cream from Makari De Suisse, I was quite intrigued by what it offered, and after using the samples for 2 weeks now, below is the review.
1) It contains parabens.

My experience with Makari De Suisse clarifying cream (hand, foot, elbow):
The first time I applied this cream I was greeted with a pleasant smell that had an aromatherapy touch to it. However, the smell of this cream wasn't as intoxicating as the one acynl cream had. The texture of this cream was lightly oily and off white in color with normal consistency. The cream got absorbed into my hand in a jiffy without leaving any greasiness or oiliness behind. Since I was testing only two sachets of this cream, I wasn't going to try it all on feet, elbows and hands. I continued to use it on my hands only, that too on the pigmented areas just once daily before going to sleep every night.
Below are some pics:
Below are the pros and cons that I've experienced from this cream:
Pros:
1) It has a lovely smell that is quite pleasant, mild and soothing to the senses.
2) I like the texture of this cream, which is neither too thick, nor too runny. It is quite balanced and blends well. The cream gets readily absorbed into my skin.
3) I've been using this cream daily once every night before going to sleep since past 2 weeks (the sachets are over now) and I have definitely felt an even skin tone around my cuticles. My hands have weird skin tones especially near the cuticles; my index finger is darkest of all with ugly dark streaks and pigmentation around the nail. I could see subtle difference in the reduction of the pigmentation with the usage of this cream on those areas. Also it softens my hands well.
4) It didn’t give me any allergic reactions.
5) All organic and natural ingredients make it quite healthy and skin friendly.
Cons:
1) It contains parabens.
2) I couldn't see any other con of this cream after its 2 week usage, apart from its price. It is expensive but truly effective too.
Overall verdict: I liked this cream a lot for the way it worked on the pigmented areas around the nails and cuticles on my hands. A little is sufficient to cover both the hands and with just one time usage every day, I could see noticeable difference. My hands look soft, less burnt out and have more even skin tone now so it does work on what it claims for.
