I bought this quad after seeing it being raved so much on almost all beauty blogs. This is said to be the "must have" for anyone who wants to start with her "basic smoky eye look". Even for me, my first attempt with a smoky eye look could be somehow successfully achieved with this quad only, as my first smoky eye quad - NYC mod quad failed miserably in achieving anything.
Maybelline New York Chai Latte Quad has worked wonderfully well in helping me get most of my eyelooks correct and "almost" as close to what I wanted them to look like!

My experience with Maybelline New York Chai Latte Quad - 22
This is the eyeshadow quad I reach all the time for almost every eye look. From that statement you might have guessed how much I love it! The shades provided by the quad are some of the most basic colors that could be needed for almost every eye look, be it smoky or not. It depends on how you build them on your eyes. I use lid color for all the eye makeup looks to achieve a smooth base on my eyelids for any eyeshadow to work well. I use the deep brown shade to define my crease, again for every eye look as that gives a nice shape and definition to my eyes. The highlighter shade is perfect for my skin tone and works well in highlighting my brow bone and inner corner of eyes, without looking stark or OTT at all.
The metallic coppery-bronze shade is something, I rarely use. But, it is another gorgeous shade that looks lovely on application particularly with any warm eye makeup look. The quad comes with two sponge applicators, which aren't any good on eyes, except for highlighting of inner corners.

Some of the pros and cons that I've experienced from this quad:
Pros:
1) I love the fact that this quad contains some most basic and essential shades that are needed to give a perfect finish to any eye look, whether its smoky or not.
2) The shades are amazingly pigmented and come out well on application. None of the eyeshadows are chalky or powdery at all.
3) The colors stay well on my eyes with normal foundation base for at least 3-4 hours. With a good base, I feel they'd definitely stay longer.
4) The price of the quad makes it quite affordable.
5) It never caused any itching or allergic reactions on my eyes.
6) I love the fact that the finishes provided by the shades in the quad are a mix and match of all. The highlighter shade is a soft shimmery shade. The lid shade has satin finish whereas the deep brown is matte. The coppery-brown shade is super shimmery.
Cons:
1) Without a good eyeshadow primer, the eyeshadows crease after 3-4 hours of application.
2) Maybelline New York company tests its products on animals.
3) The eyeshadows contain parabens.
Overall verdict: I'd have been really happy using this quad, had Maybelline New York not been an animal testing company. Aside that fact, the quad is something I'd recommend to everyone who is starting with eye makeup. The shades are extremely versatile and can be built to create any kind of look.
