Review: Hollybeth's Natural Luxury Lavender Hand cream

A couple of weeks back; I shared information about Hollybeth’s Natural Luxury travel gift set with you guys here. I got a chance to try out the products from this gift set and today I am reviewing the hand crème that comes in this gift set. Below goes the review:

Ingredients:

Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil*, Camellia Oleifera (Camellia) Seed Oil*, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Beeswax*, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil*, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Lecithin* *organic

To Use: Massage a small amount into your hands to smooth and hydrate the skin. Great for the entire body as well. Avoid eye area. Keep in cool place away from heat.

My experience with this hand cream

When I saw this cream the first time, it looked like 'ghee' to me. When I applied it, its consistency, application, feel and even the finish was that of "ghee" only. The good thing was that it didn't smell of "ghee". It has a yummy lime and sugar mixed fragrance which I like a lot. The product blends well into my skin, leaving an oily finish. But, strangely the oil and all greasiness gets absorbed into my skin within minutes, leaving just smooth and soft hands behind radiating sugar and lemon fragrance!! :)

Below are some likes and dislikes that I've experienced from this hand cream:

Likes:

1) I love the sugar and lemon fragrance of this cream(I tried to find the smell of lavender, but couldn't find it in all the sweetness!)

2) I love the fact that it is so effective in smoothing and softening my hands. I usually apply this after I've washed dishes. The skin on my hands is usually super dry and it becomes worse after I do any household chores. The cream works quite effectively in bringing back the softness and suppleness to my hands.

3) Because of its oily consistency and concentration, I require very less amount to cover both of my hands. So, even this travel piece is gonna last for a good time.

4) The travel gift set in which this comes is for $25 only, which I feel is quite affordable for all the goodies at the quantities you get.

5) The ingredients are natural and organic. The cream is made with home ingredients and recipes, hence definitely more skin friendly and healthy.

Dislikes:

1) Jar packaging is a bit turn off for me for hygiene reasons.

2) The fact that it makes your hands oily, might be a problem for some of you. However, the oiliness goes off within 2-3 minutes. I usually keep on rubbing my hands and the cream till the time oiliness vanishes. So, you can try that too!! :)

3) Availability might be a problem, as you won't be able to find it in all the stores worldwide. But, you can order it online from there website here.

4) I found the storage also a bit of a problem. It tends to leak oil from the jar. In fact the travel gift pack was full of the sweet melted cream's oil when I received it. So, you need to be extra careful in keeping this safe.

Overall verdict: I really like this hand cream a lot for its effectiveness in quickly making my hands soft. The best thing about this cream is that it locks the moisture inside, and I don't have to bother about re-applying anything on my hand for another 5-6 hours, which I feel is quite good. The only problem could be the oily finish, but if you are ready to work on it for a few more minutes, it will go off. The yummy sugar and lemon fragrance is something I can never get tired of!
