I am usually not much of a Kajal/Kohl person. I refrain from using anything on my waterline particularly for two main reasons - first reason is that I love to apply eye liner on my upper lids, and if I use Kajal too along with that, my small eyes appear even smaller; second reason is that Kajal or kohl somehow always enhance and highlight my dark circles after a couple of hours, especially when I have to spend whole day at office.
So, when I came across Revlon Wet/Dry Eyeliner Crayon Fini Poudre/Fini Lustre in soft black, I was a bit reluctant to use it much. But, when I started using it, I felt that I’d found my HG eye pencil/kajal/kohl for water line in this. I absolutely love this eye pencil to its core and always carry it with me in my makeup kit. The best thing about this eye pencil is that it is soft black, which doesn't look too stark on my brown eyes. With that being said, here goes the review.

No smudging!! :) |
My experience with this eyeliner pencil:
I love the soft finish it gives to my eyes, which is something I am quite comfortable with. I use it lightly on the outer half of my waterline and smudge it inwards. I also use the pencil to tight line my eyes.
Below is how it looks on my eyes after tight lining and applying on outer parts of waterline:
I like the fact that it doesn't smudge at all and simply fades away with time. I've experienced a staying power of 4-5 hours from this, which is pretty good.
Below are some likes and dislikes that I've felt from this eye pencil crayon:
Likes:
1) This is my HG eye pencil and I love the soft matte effect and the definition it gives to my eyes.
2) The soft black shade is true to its name - a grayish black shade which goes perfectly with my brown eyes.
3) I love the fact that it is so versatile and can be used for defining the waterline and for tight lining too, when dry. As wet liner, it can be used on the eyelids to get the soft smoky effect.
4) The pencil doesn't smudge much after a couple of hours. To create a smoky look I simply apply and smudge it immediately. The effect gets locked the way I set it up and stays that way for 4-5 hours.
5) I bought this pencil from Revlon's factory outlet at New Jersey, and it was priced much less (somewhere between $1.99 and $3) there. As I searched on the internet, I found out that its current price is $6.50, which is still pretty affordable for all the good things you are getting from it!! :)
6) It never caused any irritation to my eyes.
Dislikes:
Availability: I have inquired about it at a couple of Revlon counters that I know in Bangalore, and none of them had this pencil. So, I am a bit concerned about its availability in India. The SAs there hadn't even heard about this pencil, which worries me even more!
No other dislike!! :)
Overall verdict: This is a perfect black for everyday wear, especially for people who have light colored eyes, and who don't want to sport black on their eyes. I wear it daily for office and absolutely love it.
