1. Apply your makeup remover in light strokes working from the centre of the face outwards (forehead, cheeks, chin), then finish on the T-zone and under the chin.

2. Remove any residue with a tissue.

3. To complete your makeup removal, the use of toner is indispensable.

My experience with this cleansing lotion:

I got this 50 ml cleansing lotion with a Lancôme youth activating product kit that I bought from Douglas. I've been using this lotion daily twice, since past 10 days now and so far it has been really good in what it claims about cleansing and softening. The cleanser comes in a white lotion with medium consistency. It has a mild floral fragrance which is quite soothing to the senses. The lotion spreads well on my skin and works amazingly in dissolving my makeup right from my lipstick to blusher and foundation.

I have tried it on my eyes and lashes and it removed the eye makeup too to a great extent there, without stinging my eyes at all. However, when it comes to waterproof makeup, it removes just 70-80% of the makeup in first round. Nevertheless, over the time I've learnt the trick to make it work 100% in doing that. Just leave the lotion on the eye makeup for 2-3 minutes and then wipe off with moistened cotton swab and complete makeup comes off quite easily.

I applied the lotion again on the left over waterproof liner, kept it for 2 minutes and then wiped off with damp cotton

Below are some of the likes and dislikes that I've felt about this cleansing lotion:

Likes:

1) The cleansing fluid works quite amazingly and softly in removing my makeup without causing any irritation to my skin.

2) I love its wet floral fragrance which is quite mild and soothing to the senses.

3) The consistency of the cleansing lotion is quite moderate, that helps it to spread all over the skin evenly.

4) This is quite a hydrating cleanser and works true to its claims by making my skin soft and hydrated every time I use it.

5) It comes with a nice bottle and a flip open cap to take the product out, which is pretty handy to use.

Dislikes:

1) It is quite mild in action when it comes to removing stubborn makeup in one go. The trick to make it work effectively in that, is to leave the lotion over the eye makeup like kajal or waterproof liner/mascara for 2 minutes and then wipe off with damp cotton.

2) The lotion creates a very thin film on my skin after every cleansing, which comes off whenever I wash my face with plain water or apply the Lancôme Tonique Douceur toner over it.

3) I am not very sure about it, but according to PETA Lancôme tests its products on animals which I dont like at all.

Overall: I really like the way this cleanser has worked on my oily-combination skin. It is very gentle to the skin, though strong in action and leaves my skin quite hydrated and soft. I've never felt any itching, dryness or any other reaction on my skin using this and my skin definitely seems to have improved a lot since I've started using it.
