Let me ask you a question before I start with this
foundation review. If you are lucky enough to have got your perfect foundation,
then please do let me know how long it took for you? For me, I think it took me
around a complete 1 year of learning, testing and trying to finally get the
foundation that matches my skin tone and my oily-combination skin's need.
Fortunately (and also unfortunately) I found my solace in this Isadora foundation, which I bought from Germany a couple of months back. I said 'fortunately' because this happens to be the perfect foundation for me skin tone and skin type, and 'unfortunately' because I don't know where to get it again once it is over. Experience:
As might be evident from my blabber above, I absolutely love this foundation to the core. It has everything I'd have ever dreamt about in my perfect foundation, something like a fairy tale. Ok! Enough of nonsense; let me get back to the review. This foundation is a liquid foundation and comes in a cute bottle with a pump dispenser, which I like. It gets evenly applied on the skin and blends really well to give a smooth and naturally fresh look to my skin. The foundation doesn't oxidize at all and doesn't look cakey either. It gives a medium coverage which is ok for me and it stays on my face keeping it shine free for 4-5 hours, after which I have to apply some compact on my T-zone.
Below are some of the likes and dislikes that I've felt about this foundation:
Likes:
1) Medium, natural and non cakey coverage.
2) Gives a semi-matte finish, which looks partly dewy and soft.
3) Comes with a pump dispenser for easy use and hygiene.
4) Doesn't oxidize at all and keeps giving a fresh look to my face for 4-5 hours.
5) Doesn’t' have any fragrance.
6) Never broke me out.
7) Perfect match for my skin tone.
8) Contains SPF 30
Dislikes:
1) Availability is a concern, as I've no idea where to get it in India.
2) 16 hours claim is a bit too much. It usually keeps my oily-combination skin fresh for 4-5 hours, after which I need to do touch ups.
Overall verdict: My heart is already crunching thinking about my plight when this foundation is gonna get over. I definitely recommend you try this once and grab it asap if you get your perfect match in this foundation range. Excellent product!
