Diana of London City Glamour Nail Polish - Jasmine 48 - Review, Photos, NOTD

Life can be so boring and monotonous without colors. Ok! Don’t get alarmed about me jabbering on any philosophy related to colors and life. I certainly have no intentions to bore you with my mindless babblings. It’s just that I've always felt a bit happier whenever I am surrounded with nice and lovely colors. My first love for cosmetics started with nail lacquers, and no matter how many nail polishes I buy, I can never have enough. Since, we use our hands the most in our day-to-day work, whether its office or home, it always gives an extra kick of good energy, whenever I see my nails lovingly adorned with nice nail polishes.

I've been lately a lot into deep and gothic colors like black, deep blue, blood red, fiery red, deep green, and grey etc., so when I tried this particular shade from Diana of London, I somehow felt my nails and hands becoming quite light. There is a nice airy, springy feeling to this shade and I am loving it a lot. Check out more details below:

My experience with this nail polish

The shade Jasmine 48 from Diana of London is a gorgeous pinky-peach nude shade that literally brought a whiff of fresh and cool change to my otherwise gothic nail polish routine. The nail polish bottle is a bit longer than the usual ones we get, thereby sporting a bit longer wand as well. The consistency of the nail polish is a pretty ok, and you can easily control the amount you want to take on the brush. The shade is somewhat opaque and gives a lovely peachy pink shade along with glossy finish in one coat. However, to get fully opaque effect, you need to apply two coats.
The good thing about this nail polish is that it didn't chip at all, even after 4 days of wearing. However, it did start fading slightly from the tips of my nails as the days progressed, which I believe may be because of my nail growth along with the usual wear and tear. The best thing about this nail polish is that it is free of Toulene, DBP and Camphor. Also, it doesn't take ages to dry. One coat takes just 1-2 minutes to get dried completely.

So on that note let us have a quick look at likes and dislikes of this nail polish

Likes

1) I love the peachy-pink nude shade of the nail polish. It makes my hands look nice, fresh and soft! :)
2) The long wand gives better control on the application.
3) The consistency is apt enough to help you apply the polish evenly on the nails.
4) It is free of Toulene, DBP and Camphor
5) Takes hardly 1-2 minutes to get dried up completely.
6) The shade is quite opaque and gives nice glossy finish on the nails.
7) It claims to contain Vitamin E.
8) You get a lot of quantity for a nominal price, and since it is chip resistant, free of toulene and stays on my nails for 4-5 days decently, I find it very affordable for the quality.

Dislikes:

The brush that comes in this nail polish is a bit thinner than the usual brushes I've used so far. I need to be careful while applying the nail polish, since it might cause streaky lines to appear on the nails.

Overall: I like this shade and the nail polish a lot. I'd definitely love to try more shades from the brand going forward.

Rating: 4.5/5 (A)

Neutrogena Moistureshine Gloss - Review, Swatches

Neutrogena Moistureshine Gloss - Review I began to use Neutrogena brand long back, when I was in US. The first product I bought of this brand was a liquid foundation, which was my first foundation of all. And, as expected I chose the wrong shade and had to throw it away. The second thing I bought sometime back was this Neutrogena Moistureshine LipGloss , which apparently happens to be my first tinted lipgloss too, as before this I was used to only lipsticks or lip balms. It took me a while to get used to the concept of glosses. I bought the shade 04 Glimmer: Neutrogena Moistureshine Gloss Like usual glosses, it comes

Olay Natural White Lotion With Mulberry Leaf Extracts - Review

Olay Natural White Lotion With Mulberry Leaf Extracts  The best way to spend four hours of waiting period in Dubai transit is to do shopping. In all the shopping I did there, I bought this particular lotion as well. The main reasons behind buying this lotion were: 1) I wanted to try Olay as a brand as I’d heard a lot of good stories about it. 2) I wanted a light moisturizing face lotion that has SPF, UVA/UVB protection and could be worn easily below my foundation for day wear. Olay Natural White Lotion With Mulberry Leaf Extracts Price: $10 Quantity: 30 ml What does Olay say about its Natural White lotion ?
