With the rage BB creams have created all around the makeup
world, and after having a great experience with one BB cream from Vedicline+
that I reviewed HERE, I was definitely
tempted to try more. Maybelline BB Creams have already been quite popular in
India, and I was quite excited to give them a try. I got the shade 01- Nude and
03-Natural. Check out more details and complete review below:

My experience with
this cream:
The BB cream comes in a nice handy tube packaging with screw
open lid. I like the consistency of the cream, which is neither too thick, nor
too runny. It is easy to apply and blend on the face using my fingers, and even
my foundation brush. The cream gives a soft natural finish to my
oily-combination skin, which isn't exacly matte but kind of dewy. I like the
way it gives my face a polished look without making it cakey at all. The shade
"Natural" is something that blends into my skin quite well, whereas
Nude is a bit darker on my skintone. The coverage that I've got from this BB
cream is around medium. I still need to use concealer on any blemishes that I
have. The cream is indeed moisturizing and keeps my face shine free for around
4-5 hours after which I need to do touch ups. I like the fact that it has SPF
21.
So on that note, let us check some of the likes and dislikes
below:
Likes:
1) Very light weight cream that blends well into the skin to
give a nice polished and flawless finish.
2) I like the way it gives a smooth coverage on my face,
without looking cakey or patchy at all.
3) It gives a semi-matte-kinda-dewy finish to my face which
looks natural.
4) It does make my face bright and glowy.
5) I like the way it controls shine on my face for 4-5 hours.
6) Contains SPF 21
Dislikes:
1) I couldn't agree to the claim that it resists sweat and
sebum for 5 hours, coz my sweat overpowered it in minutes in current hot and
humid climatic conditions.
2) The coverage is medium and you still will need your concealer,
to cover any blemishes, though it covers redness around my nose well.
3) The claim that it moisturizes the skin for 8 hours is a
bit of exaggeration. I feel it works great for around 4-5 hours on my
oily-combination skin, after which I need to do touch ups.
4) I couldn’t understand the way shades have been named and
ranged. Even though shade “Natural” is lighter than shade “Nude”, Natural is
given number”03” and nude is given number “01”. I always thought the ranging
was done from lightest to darkest shade!
Overall:
I find it a decent BB cream at a great price. If you don't
have too many blemishes or skin issues showing on your face, this can be a good
buy for everyday wear. I've been using it daily since past 2-3 weeks (Mixing
shade Natural and nude to get my perfect shade!) and I have quite liked it so
far. Would love to buy it again.
Rating: 3.75/5 (B+) Check out more pics and swatches of both ""01- Nude" and 03- Natural" shade below:
Below is how it looks on me. I've mixed both Nude and Natural shade to create my perfect match. I'll consider "Natural" next time I buy this BB cream.
