My experience with
this nail polish
Most of the nail polishes that I own are more on glossy side.
2-3 of them might be matte. However, I've owned only one pastel shade till
date and this is the second. This particular shade Salmon Fishing from Faces Canada is a lovely matte
pastel peachish-orange shade. It is a very cool toned shade and looks lovely in
current monsoon weather. The nail polish has a bit thick texture and might get streaky
on the first coat. However, it goes completely smooth on the second coat. The length
of the applicator is decent enough to give you proper control over the
application. Also, the brush gives a nice coverage in one go.
The staying power of this nail polish is pretty good. It didn't chip or fade from my nails for at least 4-5 days which I feel is pretty good for the price it comes for. Even after that, the nail polish just began fading lightly from around the edges owing to wear and tear and my nails' natural growth.
The only tiny problem that I've felt about this nail polish is
that it takes a bit of time to get completely dried up - at least 3-4 minutes. Also, you need to be
careful with the initial application as your first coat might get streaky
because of its thick texture. However, since the nail polish is so opaque, two
coats can work absolutely fine in giving a flawless smooth finish to your
nails.
Overall, it is a lovely cool toned pastel shade which is
neither too dull nor too bright - just perfect to add a bit of spice to your
hands this monsoon.
