L'Oreal Paris Shine Caresse Lip Gloss - Review: Bella, Juliette
Price: INR 499/- for 6ml
My experience with these lip glosses:
If you are looking for a light weight lipgloss that has non-sticky, almost balmy formula and gives decent hydration and color to the lips, then these lip glosses are perfect for you. I got a chance to try the shades #702 Juliette and #604 Bella. While 'Juliette'
is a hot red shade with orange undertones, that instantly brightens up my face and is perfect for night time party wear, the latter shade 'Bella' is more day time appropriate light pink shade with a bit of coral undertones to it. The glosses come in cute looking tubes with sponge tip applicators. The applicators are well built to give decent and opaque coverage in one go. The thing that surprised me most about these glosses was the staying power. The glosses set instantly after application, imparting shine and color to the lips and stay put for some 4-5 hours. Even when I eat or drink, the color just fades a bit, while hydration stays put. One reason that I can think of for the long lasting formula of these glosses, is the fact that they feel more like a stain-with-shine on the lips. Nevertheless, I am quite loving wearing these glosses in current hot and humid weather. They are easy to apply, easy to carry, give lovely color, shine and hydration to my lips and stay put for long hours.
I can't think of any dislike about these glosses, apart from the fact that the color imparted by them on my lips, sometimes look a bit uneven. I don't know why, but it may be because of its stain like texture, or may be my lack of proper expertise in using it perfectly. However, the difference isn't that noticeable (unless you notice someone's lips using magnifying lens!) and overall effect looks lovely, so this one tiny-mini con can easily be neglected.
So, on that note check out my quick list of likes and dislikes with these glosses:
Likes:
1) Very light weight, with a consistency of almost like a stain.
2) Give decent shine and hydration to the lips along with good opaque coverage.
3) The formula never feathers or bleeds around the lips, no matter how hot or humid the weather is.
4) Come in nice tube packaging, that looks classy and elegant.
5) Sponge tip applicators make the application a breeze.
6) The formula stays put for 4-5 hours.
Dislikes:
1) You need to be careful with the application to get an even coverage.
Overall, must haves for summers and even monsoons. I'd definitely love to acquire few more shades in this range.
