As much as I love trying out new skin care and makeup products, my primary concern is always to use the ones that have more natural ingredients, are free of all harmful chemicals like sulfates, silicones, parabens etc. and are effective AF.
I recently got my hands on Vya Naturals Vitamin C Serum that claims to provide brightening and age defying properties to your skin and is 100% sulfate and paraben free. I have been using it since past 2 weeks now and here goes my experience of the same below.
To start with, I have been blessed with a good combination skin, that has seen occasional breakouts on a very minute level. However, 2 months back, I tried a sunscreen and for some weird reason it gave me breakouts and made my face look like a clock - each pimple for the number it represents. You can imagine - it was a nightmare.
Even though I handled the situation before it could go worse, there were still marks from the acne, which were taking very long time to go off. I remember using dots and dots of concealer all over my face over the marks to cover them. Trust me, for someone who has never been used to see such a thing on her face, it was not a pleasant experience at all.
My first impression about Vya Naturals Vitamin C Serum was that - it looked like water. I thought - ok, not bad, at least it won't stick on my face. The bottle comes with a dropper cap, so it is pretty easy to take the product out and spread it all over the face. The smell and texture are negligible. It could have come with a spray for that matter - its so runny.
Now, coming to the effectiveness of the serum - it gets readily absorbed into the skin. I could not feel anything sitting on my skin, however the work it did overnight was something that left me astounded. Within 2 days, most of the acne marks on my face got faded to almost nothing, and my skin looked much brighter and healthier. I was like - what sort of sorcery is this! or may be good products work this way, coz it was my first experience in seeing the speed of the "healing" it gave. I was on the cloud nine!
So, as happy as I was, I began using this product twice everyday, both for AM and PM and my skin has been thanking it a lot. All the marks are gone and I am wondering if I continue using, it might help me even out my overall skin color as well.
All in all, an amazing product that does deliver what it promises. Below is a quick summary of all the good and not so good points about this serum according to me:
Likes:
1. 100% parabens and sulfate free.
2. Definitely helps in smoothening and brightening your skin.
3. Has watery consistency
4. Gets absorbed readily into the skin.
5. Doesn't have any fragrance.
6. Handy and easy packaging to take the product out.
Dislikes:
Though it says its a serum, it has a toner or face mist like consistency. I feel a spray packaging would have been more handy to use the product easily.
Price: MRP 1295/-
Availaibility: Vyanaturals.com and Amazon.in
Rating: 5/5
