Review: Orchid Blue Mineral Cosmetics Foundation- Deepest Golden & Med Honey, FOTD

I am usually not much of a foundation person. I apply foundation rarely, and till date I've only used liquid foundation. However, in summers it becomes a bit difficult to carry liquid foundation, so I simply stick to using a sunscreen, concealer and compact. When I came across Orchid Blue Mineral Foundation, I was quite intrigued at the concept of mineral and powdered foundation, and I've been loving using them now daily for everyday wear. About Orchid Blue Cosmetics Mineral Foundation Orchid Blue Foundation is Non-comedogenic and won’t clog pores. All of their formulas are completely Bismuth free and safe to use on delicate and irritation prone skin. The perfect foundation color should blend in easily, and seem to disappear. You should never try to change your natural skin tone with a darker foundation color. I got two sample sachets of shades: Med Honey and Deepest Golden 1. Foundation: Med Honey Website image 2. Foundation: Deepest Golden Website image ...

Worst Online Shopping Experience with BuyInCoins

As you might have got from the title of this post, I didn't have very flattering shopping experience with www.buyincoins.com . Here, I tell you how! I've always been an online shopping fanatic, and I've shopped online many times from lots of stores. I usually try to locate a storefront on Amazon, as I trust the website a lot and Amazon always ensures that the transactions are done properly right from the time you've placed your order to the time you get it. When I read so many shopping successes of www.buyincoins.com at various blogs, I was quite intrigued to try my hands on it. The best thing that charmed me towards this website was that it ships free worldwide. Little did I know that the "free" thing was going to take a bad turn later. I didn't want to spend too much money on first time, so I just went with a small order of a 12 piece brush kit that was priced around $6. I placed the order on March 23rd, 2011, which I paid through PayPal. The transa...

Review: Mattify Cosmetics Eyeshadows - Amethyst Moon and Midnight Train

Since the time I started using eyeshadows I've always been a bit scared of using shimmery eyeshadows for the reason that they might look OTT on my skin tone. Also, I had to worry a lot about not aiming to look like a disco ball with all the fall outs of glitter and shimmer on my cheeks. When I got a chance to try these shimmery eyeshadows from Mattify cosmetics, I was a bit apprehensive, but seeing the fine texture of the eyeshadows I gave them a go and from my experience I really like these eyeshadows a lot for their superb pigmentation, silky smooth texture, versatility in building a finish that can go from sheer to opaque and the most important of all - almost negligible fall outs. The shades I'd be reviewing here today are : Amethyst Moon and Midnight train. From Left to right: Amethyst Moon, Midnight train 1) Amethyst moon: It is a gorgeous shimmering vibrant purple eyeshadow, with silver highlights. The highlights are very fine and give a beautiful texture and f...

Review: Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish™ Hot Cloth Cleanser

Since the time I got loads of water proof, water resistant and long lasting makeup products, I've always been on a search of some decent cleanser that could easily remove all such makeup without making me struggle too much with my skin. Till date, all the cleansers I tried could work well in removing the normal makeup but failed with all long lasting and waterproof stuffs. The cleansing oils that I used could do the work to some extent, but again failed to remove the last traces of a water proof kajal, eyeliner or mascara and resulted in giving me panda eyes the next very morning. Moreover, since I have oily combination skin, many such oils gave me bad breakouts. Because of this, I somehow avoid using waterproof makeup on daily basis. However, waterproof makeup has one advantage and it is that it sticks on your face whole day and has least chances to get spoilt by sweat or water in this sweltering heat. With that temptation of using waterproof makeup products, when I stumbled upo...
